TENSION TEST

  • These tests are intended for getting fundamental data of machinery design by obtaining mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield point, elongation and reduction of area etc and physical elasticity such as elastic limit, proportional limit, Poisson's ratio and modulus of elasticity, etc for and intended for estimating various important mechanical properties of steel for machinery design thru tension test in which is generally acquired from stress- strain testing under loads of tensile.

CHARPY IMPACT TEST

  • Impact test is made to estimate the absorption capacity of energy from transformation of materials such as toughness or brittleness. The brittleness and toughness are used to dominant factors to determine resistance of materials against dynamic loads as parts of machinery and structures are under static loading or dynamic loading. Generally absorbed energy , lateral expansion, shear percentage with the notch specimen can be obtained.

HARDNESS TEST

  • The deformation characteristics of materials can be understood with estimating the deformation degree against loads of materials as the method of estimation of deformation of materials by external force. Hardness is generally meaning for resistance of deformation especially in metallic materials, for resistance of plastic deformation, Hardness test is used to estimate the strength of materials or to compare the status of heat- treatment or the status of fabricated materials.
